Well now, that's interesting. Probably not gonna pre-load the game and just buy it in a week or two... or just wait until Christmas. That's a cool feature, though.
Personally, I prefer having a physical copy. In order to get me to download the digital version, you'd have to include some kind of bonus I couldn't pass up, like adding Krystal as a digital-version exclusive.
That's kind of absurd if you take a step back and think about it: the game is finished and download-ready; you can load the full game onto your console now, but you can't play it for another week?
I started reading this, thinking it was about a demo XD But this is actually a genius idea. The servers were a mess when Pokemon Bank came out, so can you imagine for Smash...?
I got really excited and thought this was a demo release..but then I got excited again cause now I don't have to wait to download this when it comes out.
This is a nice option for future downloads. I've already preordered a physical copy from Amazon so I won't be using it this time.
I'm curious as to how this works though... What's to stop someone from pre-loading it then changing the date on their system to the 21st and unlocking it immediately? Surely it works differently than that...

Good job developing that game mr Sakurai, but did you really have to give it to America first AGAIN? C'mon, you gave us brawl three months later than to americans, do they really have to get another smash bros game first?
Physical bundle, I hate digital copies, ESPECIALLY games. Digital is so unreliable, and plus if your SD card or harddrive loses, or you ,lose your system, you LOSE EVERYTHING. I will ALWAYS prefer physical.
