How does link live in many Hyrulian generations? I interpret that, the game we play.. is just a story that an old man may just be telling his grand-children. Why I think that? Who's to say that Link hasn't been dead for a long, long time? But he may live on through stories. A legend, by definition, is a story that is passed through generations. Hence, The LEGEND of Zelda, is just a tale.

    A tale of the Hero of Time and his adventures. Then, another factor, those that have named their children Link or Zelda, who will grow on to continue the legacy and create new legends. The fascination we have, should stay with the original. A hero should never die, Link lives in the tale.
