Why does Sonic go into a ball when he does the kick attack if he knows he has to get OUT of his ball to kick.

    Maybe because there were no flickies in Sonic Heroes, so they couldn't have Super Tails and there were no Super Emeralds in Sonic Heroes, so they couldn't have Super Knuckles.
