Been a true blue Sonic fan for 20 years and eventhough I can't use my beloved pro controller, I finally gave in a got this game. After playing for a bit, I can't believe how wrong the reviews are!

    Yes, Sonic is too slow, but almost everything else is great. The cartoony graphics are how Sonic games should have always looked. The reviews focused on negatives and didn't say anything...

    They didn't celebrate all the old schoolery like the cannons, badniks from Genesis games and still being able to simply jump on enemies to destroy them. I didn't think I would like the new homing...

    ...attack, but I love it! I awesome to string hits together quickly and the first time in a Sonic game, the controls are actually responsive! Boss fights may not be the best, but...

    ..they're WAY better than in Colors. The acting and writing for the cutscenes is also excellent. I hope Roger Craig Smith remains as Sonic's voice for years to come!

    And how about that infinte spin dash?! It's awesome! I've been going on and on, but the point is: this may not be a perfect game, but it's definitely better than all the previous attemps.

    I believe that the best is yet to come for Sonic and man, does he deserve it. Sonic is too awesome of a character to be wasted in bad games like the past 15 years.

    All excellent points Ryän. I think this game is the start of much better Sonic games to come. They got a lot of things right in this one, and if they iron out the wrinkles, the next one can rule!
