I have killed 26 brachydios and no brachydios gems. Any tips?

Collect every shiny you can from him and cut the tail. Not much you can do besides that early game

Kill and carve, don't capture.

Body carve gives you 2% chance, tail carve gives you 2% and shiny drops are a 1% chance. If you capture it it's also a 2% chance. Your best bet is to make sure to cut off it's tail and kill it. Have fun grinding.

But the capture only gives you one chance a single gem in rewards screen. 3 body carves, 1 tail carve, and up to 3 shiny drops is the better choice for brachy gem hunting.

Seriously though, soloing it took me a while, but I capped and broke his parts. ^^ I got it after about 15 tries on the high rank.
