    The location of the ghost ship changes depending on the moon cycle. You can find a map that shows the location of the ship for every phase in the cycle. (If I remember right from the GCN version)

    yup i beat this game be4 .... u have to find a map its on a mini boss ship i think it shows u the shape of the moon each night n on tht shape n night it shows u which island it will show up at n also if u dnt have tht map u cant get on the ship either
