Captain Toad's Log: In the middle of an enormous desert called "Conkdor Canyon," I had a run-in with my old comrade, Mario, who was dressed as a Cat for some reason. A giant bird-like creature tried to attack him, but I defeated it before it could even touch us. Mario then gave me a Green Star as a token of grace.

    What Really Happened: The Conkdor tried attacking Captain Toad, but Mario saved him, and Captain Toad gave him a Green Star.
