    Not a big fan of the Elves, because you don't see much of them in Hobbit and LotR (Simirillion the only exception) and they don't fight for the cause unless it is 'necessary', and I have to change that my favorite elf is Haldir.

    Favorite Hobbit is Samwise (tip off to Sméagol's Grandma ;] though technically not hobbits but a related race). Favorite Man is Aragorn (tip off to Faramir). Favorite Woman Ewyen (obviously, she's the only one) Favorite Elf Haldir. Favorite Dwarf Bombour, Bofur, Dain.

    Oh forgot Balin. And Favorites from other races Beorn, Treebeard, Lord of Eagles, and Cave Trolls. Favorite Wizard (Maia) The Blue Wizards because of the mysertious backstory!

    I do like Elves...don't get me wrong...just not as much as the Races of Men, Hobbits, and Wizards. Dwarves are on the same level with Elves (because you don't see them as much, and not a lot in action)

    Tolkien almost wrote exclusively on Men and Hobbits, and mainly Hobbits... But he loved Elves and Dwarves, in his last BBC broadcast he talked about each a little more than Bilbo and hobbits... he mainly talked about how his books related to the history of humankind.
