Impressions

And that was Kid Icarus. It was one of the first games I got when I redecovered NES gaming during high school. It will always have a place in my heat. So is it an underlooked gem of a classic? No. I have not played this game in years because it starts off too hard, the hid detection is suspect, and the control could be better. Not a bad game, but it just isn't put together that well.

    That said, I played the 3DS remake befor tackling this and alot has been tweaked, including better controls and better graphics (but still with that 8-bit look). Try that one out if you really feel the need to play this. And at lest this game has one legacy it can be proud of: It had a FAR better 3DS sequel! I'M FINISHED!

    I tried to clear the Underworld in 3D Classics: Kid Icarus, and I was finished 12 times the first time, 6 times the second time, including in the fortress. Overworld, 7 and 4. Skyworld, 5 (I blame the fortress) and 3. And Palace in the Sky, 4 and in progress. Currently at 3.

    Yeah, the 3D version is easyer, but not easy.
