    Even if you have HH, it's not mentioned much. My theory is that Bongo Bongo was a powerful Sheikah who invented the Eye of Truth to get ahead of the other Sheikah when he was younger. He was tasked with torturing captives during the war, but started doing the same and worse to Kakariko villagers and other Sheikah. He was later found out as he tried to use his power to take the Triforce, ...

    Beheaded, and his hands cut off for theft. His power was too great, so he did not die, but he became a shadow spirit that Impa's ancestor had to seal in the well that was built where his house/torture chamber was.
