  • Hitting the L button will take you to the radar screen. Notice that even though it is labelled A-F, 1-6, there are only 9 effective squares.

  • If you go to the center of the square, it will correspond to the sonar screen. So, if you've ever wonder where that last enemy ship is, just go to the center and ping! It will show up on the sonar screen.

  • The radar will show you the position of the sub. From there, just figure out 2 rings per small square. It's helpful if you want to tell where the coordinates of the subs on sonar.

  • The Searcher will tell you where your teammates are, so you can quickly meet together for a strong team. The squares without white dot contain enemies.

  • You can predict the enemy movement somewhat by the moving squares. A good example is the Underwater Base. Add Searcher, and you can pretty much tell how the battle unfolds.

  • One last thing: It tells you which is water, and which is not. Especially useful in Underwater Cave and the Arctic. It's like a map of where the icebergs are located so you can plan your zig-zag accordingly. So fun! See you in the water!

  • Sonar Bister only busts the opponent's sonar when you're leaking oil/dying. And I think if you can't be detected if you stay still?

  • That's true. These kind of questions is best asked on Sonar Buster crew post, don't you think? Just keeping it focused together.
