I really want to make a Commander's Knife, but I just have regular Jaggi hides/fangs... How do I get G. Jaggi hides/fangs???

    Kill a Great Jaggi. He first shows up in a couple ★★ quests in Moga Village, and an HR3 quest in port.

    yes, you can carve from the large monsters, and you will also get additional goodies on the rewards screen, so dont sweat it

    You can carve from monsters you kill, both on quests or free hunting in Moga Woods. Small monsters 1-2 carves, Large monsters 3 or more carves. Cut/broken tail etc lying on the ground or floating in water can be carved too. Only things you can't keep from quests are anything marked "supply item" or "account item". You get paid for account items.
