    Savage. The only problem with Abyssal is the new Water attack and the Extra AoE Thunder attacks. Savage has extra long Dragonbreath, Extra strong DefDown Saliva, and bigger Ice Chunks that it throws. It also moves faster and hits harder, and some basic attacks gain dragon element(Like his fullbody tackle)

    in that case il keep the same answer, i think the lagi is a very fast monster and a very tougher one. And i think the jho is weaker cause it is slower and cause i use double swords the speed of a monster is my only challdnge

    If you can fight regular Lagi you should be okay. If you can fight Ivory in water and you're still okay, You'll be A-Ok. The Whirlpools aren't much in the way of a threat besides the waterblight, but do prepare for the large AoE attacks. Every Thunderball has it now, and the Thunderstorm attacks are even larger. I personally find Savage more challenging.

    Savage Jho is harder. Abyssal Lagi is pathetically easy with the Dire Miralis Lance. Plus Savage Jho didn't have that trick for Gunners to take it out easily.

    A.lagi is easy ( if you use cheat btw) but svage jho is faster slightly stronger than lagi so i say S.jho

    Huh. I've defeated Savage Deviljho, but Abyssal kills me every time. Is the event A.Lagi harder than the actual one? Also, my main weapon is DB, but I also like SA. Should I use a weapon with a shield? If so, what would be best? (I should mention, I have obtained the Ancientshard weapon for Lance, GL, and SnS.)

    The event Abyssal is much harder. Also, if you're going up against Abyssal, Lance is very recommended like I stated above. The Skysunderer (Ancientshard Lance) could work well. If you can handle normal Lagiacrus well underwater, Abyssal shouldn't be too much harder with Lance. You'll NEED the Mind's Eye armor skill to break the horns, unless you want to be subjected to Bounce Hell in the process.

    Guard Up is only necessary for the super-discharge, I believe, and if you react fast enough to the warning animation for it (the curl-up), you can get out of the way before it happens and take the time to sharpen your weapon. Speaking of sharpness, your attacks will bounce off the head even with purple sharpness, which is why you'll need Mind's Eye to reliably break the horns.
