Pro-tip: know your opponent. Or at least, your opponent's hardware. Study the basic stats of each sub, and use that knowledge to recognize strengths and weaknesses of opponents you encounter in the Field. Then, compare your own sub's strengths and weaknesses to the other. form a plan. Think tactically. Knowledge IS power.

    I always flank Z-classes and hit them from behind. The U-boat is pretty good at that sort of thing.

    Just remember, this strategy works both ways. as depicted above. Sure, the Z class can nuke you to death, but the U-boat's high turn rate allows for easy flanking of the Z-class.
