    Umm..They have been releaseing handhelds like this ever since Gameboy. Every 3 years because 3 is Nintendos magic number [Zelda bosses/Mario Bosses].

    I am obliged to buy it. You do understand Nintendo is going to switch focus on this new system, don't you? By adding exclusive content and games not present on this model. Nintendo is literally digging the grave of the old 3DS hardware.

    I understand your opinions, but its to early to tell if Nintendo really "abandon" the old 3ds. We still don't know what exclusives games it will have. We only know one game, which is a port of a Wii game. What if these exclusives doesn't interested you? And besides, if you're really planing to buy one, at least you had enough time to start saving money. Again, that's just my opinion.

    Why? It's not required. Guarentee it will be like the DSi "exclusive" cartridge games. None of them. And if anything it'll take a bit to catch on, and if it ended up being the "next gen handheld" great, upgrade when you're ready. Still plenty of games already out and coming out on the regular 3ds for you to wait a few years.
