DRY BONES REVIEWS: Demon King Box!! Demon King Box is a very fun game for just $4. Here are some bullet points: 1. You can take a team of 5 demons into each mission. 2. Collect more demons from each level, convincing them to join your forces. 3. Upgrade each demon to increase HP, Attack, Magic, etc... 4. Upgrade "Heroes" to unlock add'l abilities.

  • The graphics obviouslyare nothing to get excited about. Fortunately, this game is all about gameplay. That said, the plethora of cute sprites is quite charming. Progress through different regions as you (The Demon Lord) rallies the dark forces back together again.

  • Gameplay: Each Level allows you to drag your demons onto 1 of 5 "tracks" as seen in the screenshot. There are 3 regular tracks, then 2 Large tracks for your very large demons. The opponent is doing the same. This brings in the strategic element of timing what demons to unleash on each track. The gameplay is much like "Swords and Soldiers", Only you have 5 tracks instead of 1.

  • As you progress, you collect food to feed and upgrade demons. Although I found it necessary to play a mission 2-3 times to collect enough food, there is not TOO MUCH "grinding." It's very fair so you can move on. Keep battling to recruit more demons with unique abilities!

  • After you beat the game... it's not quite over! The developer gave us an Epilogue of sorts with a bunch of additional missions. If you like Swords and Soldiers, this is a must-buy @ only $4, otherwise, it's a great game for some pick-up-and-play inbetween you other, larger titles. Let me know if you have any questions! ;D

  • nice info,ty.i might pick it up one day but seems short, about how many hours till endgame?

  • Heavenly, everyone's time may be a little different. I clocked about 6-7 hours to the "end"... I probably have another 2 hours to level up and beat the post play missions and get to the final end.

  • I've already picked it up, but helpful review nonetheless. One thing I'm surprised you didn't mention is the horrid translation in the game. Might turn some people off from buying it.

  • Zetta... Lol!!! I know right???? The translation, (Localization) Is horrendous. You are correct, and I should mention it. The English translation horrible... at first I was like, "Oh...that's a typo!" But no... the whole script is just horribly translated to english. Personally, I found this HILARIOUS. I would rather get a terrible Japanese->English translation, than not get the game localized :D

  • Haha, yeah, I did find it hilarious as well, but sometimes it gets to the point where it's hard to understand what they're supposed to be saying... By the way! The original language of the game is actually in Chinese, and you're given the option to select that. Of course it's an overall better experience when playing in the original language, but I'm not super fluent in it, so I am playing in Eng.
