Idiot but Serious question: Who built the temples in this game? And who are they dedicated to? Besides the Temple of time.

I always assumed the sages of long ago created each temple to test the hero, and after a hero has completed his quest, he resets it for the next one.

For the most part minnions of Ganondorf. I have no theory for them yet other than Zelda useing the triforce of wisdom helped the past Link to put which items where.
