    I never knew that but what I mean about the characters is that any ssb character must be a character in some game even if it didn't originate as a videogame character.

    Reggie is the public face of a branch of a gaming company. Hence, he is a gaming character. Hencer, he belongs in Smash.

    I meant gaming character as any character in a game I don't count sakurai nor regi as a game character because they weren't in any games staff credits are names not characters
