Well, nominees & winners are decided by fans, so it's not Screwattack's fault. I haven't played the game, but I've seen gameplay and I don't think it looks that great.

It's not a bad game, it just has a steep learning curve. There are much, much worse games than this. I would give the game an 7-8/10.

I do agree that there could be worse games out there, but the Deadly Six are so forgetable, the game sometimes forces power ups (unlike Colors), and getting the Chaos Emeralds is a PAIN.

Actually, you can bypass 95% of the Wisps. And getting the Chaos Emeralds isn't all that difficult.

Most of the Red Rings require EXTREME precision and close calls.

Not really. The only red rings I had trouble with were the last red ring in Frozen Factory Zone 2 and the pinball ring in Frozen Factory Zone 3. The rest are quite easy to obtain.

(No, I just think you might have misjudged some gameplay) The game itself feels different when actually playing it compared to how it looks like it plays.
