Do ya know how even though the Master ball is the best ball in the game, it still has a smidgin of a chance to fail? Id like to know if this has happened to anyone.

    Techinally that was only true in the first gerneration due to the catch rate forumla, the same one allowing great balls to have better catching odds than an ultra ball. For it to fail a master ball h

    ad to be thrown at a pokemon with a catchrate of 3 with 100% hp. this is now impossible at last check as the masterball multiplies the catch rate by its highest possibe value.

    Just checked bulbapedia. It's a 0.4% chance but only in the first generation. so no need to worry.
