this old and tired argument is the only thing that doesnt work. besides, ridley has been different sizes while the others have always been big.

Tell that to the millions of people who've ever seen the opening cinematic of Smash Bros Melee (which came before Brawl) and didn't have a problem with it.

Ridly has always been big but in the 1st metroid where it was slightly bigger. Every other game ridly has been very big even shown in smash bros

I'm thinking about the same size as Bowser, maybe a tiny bit bigger.

ridley could be slightly bigger than bowser. his wingspan is really what makes him seem so big.

I believe that Metroid needs more representatives, and there really isn't anything else to add as a character other than Ridley. I have already seen some strange things in these games, so Ridley

wouldn't bother me at all. I don't get why it is such a controversial thing either, because we already have some huge characters in the games as well.

Bowser was never resized hes showed up in different sizes in different games ridly however has been consistantly HUGE.

Has Sakurai ever said that he wanted to make Ridley playable in a smash bros game? In his sleep maybe, that is if he sleeps.

Ridley was small in metroid 1 because of hardware limitations.

they could easily go with an older design of ridley to be playable since he always looks the same then for his FS he could go meta ridley.

giga bowser is huge but bowser is not. sakurai could easily do the same with ridley.

My point about the cinematic still stands; if he's small in one Smash game and big in another, that shows Sakurai cares not about remaining canon and will do what he wants as he pleases.

you kids today only know ridley from brawl and the metroid prime/corruption. play some older games and have some nintendo knowledge dropped on you.

john c is right. sakurai doesnt concern himself with being canon. he can change the characters how he wants to if he wants them playable.

executing it is the difficult part.

Sakurai and his team are professionals at what they do, I believe they could pull it off.

i'm surprised at how controversial this topic is. people ask for shadow and zero and its mildly annoying. ask for ridley and its WWIII.

@steven: there's this thing called "development" and it takes place BEFORE the game comes out. this where ALL the characters get tweaked and sized to fit in within the parameters set by sakurai.

People should be able to ask for Ridley though without people just going insane over an opinion that is valid. I mean, he is an important character, he is first party, etc. If you believe he is too

@steven: thats not the point. asking for ridley is fine. its these close-minded kids who only know ridley as a boss in brawl who think he could never be resized and suggesting it is a crime.
