because friend codes is what pokemon x and pokemon y is all about. we're supposed to help eachother. but we cant if the easiest way is against the rules.
They don't want people building stats just to build them, which is why they got rid the Yeah Counter - to end competitiveness where it's not needed. Nintendo wants you to have fun with REAL FRIENDS.

who cares if you have someones fc? you cant talk to them, and even if you can theres a remove friend button. Its not like you gave someone the launch codes to nuke the white house
They said that bcuz on swapnote u can send pic of anything so... they discontinued via swapnote because they knew kids were going to exchange friend codes so they got rid of via swapnote...
Ive heard from an admin about this, but they mentioned a friend request system offered by miiverse. does anyone know about such a system? any help is greatly appreciated
I guess I shall not have any friends on this due to the fact that having friends for games is forbidden, god forbid I tell someone my friendcode and only friend the trustworthy people, not everyone.

Nintendo just replace the friend codes with your Nintendo Network ID and use a friend request system, thats better than friend code. And how are we supposed to get friends?
I don't really see the friend code problem but im over that age. To be honest this seems like it would be the most secure place to exchange friend codes imo.
Look, friend codes are classified as Personal Information. Miiverse Doesn't allow it, fine. Find other ways to share friend codes If you're so mad about it.

I kind of agree with this because of what happened with Swapnote. But what if you make really good friends with some people on here? Is there a way to do a friend request? Just asking. :O
why cant we make friends? its like nintendo is putting restrictions on our social life. we should have a right to be responsible for our actions. not have nintendo run it for us.
Since the Mii Verse isn't for making friends, why even bother having us waste our time updating our systems for it then. Oh well, making friends on Playstation and Xbox is way better than this anyway.

I don't understand. This seems like a perfect avenue to let people know your friend code and have more friends to game online with. This is a bad thing?
