I got notified that I posted a friend code but that was an honest mistake it was my Mario Kart 7 community name meaning that I forgot to put thayts my community code come play!

Good rule, because someone never knows if a person is going to be offensive or not. In fact it's called the "Friend List" and you can't be a friend with a stranger.

I get they dont want to have people exchange friend codes but what about Pkmn X & Y's friend safari,you need to register people to get them,add a friend button atleast <:)

um no e.e miiverse is the kinda place where you should be allowed to exchange friend codes. this place is all about people making friends therefore forbidding code swapping is illogical.
Wait, then why exactly can't we share Friend Codes? There's nothing really stopping us, and we can't add friends on 3DS Miiverse yet, so why shouldn't we? I honestly want an answer to this.
This rule in Miiverse Code of Conduct is somewhat unreasonable. It makes it harder to exchange FC's with friends for some games that require them. Yet I still respect the rules to keep the network up!
How are we supposed to trade or battle people in x and y if we cant get the friend code...this is cool but useless on the 3ds if you block the main thing we use on the 3ds.....friendcodes! Request..
I hope everyone understands because I don't want Nintendo to remove Miiverse on 3DS. If you want to make friends you must own a Wii U. So lets just stick to following. :(
Nintendo reps and devs never post back. Nice logic here: you can't share Nintendo friend codes on Nintendo systems in a Nintendo community. So, we have to go to other sites that anyone can use.

EITHER NINTENDO NEEDS TO REWRIGHT THE "COC" OR JUST DISREGARD THIS RULE. BECAUSE THIS RULE IS ONLY RESTRICTED FOR AGES 12 AND UNDER!!! GOD... sorry. this is just how i feel.

You say keep miiverse a fun community for everyone but where's the fun in banning people who actually want to make friends in online multiplayer? I think you need to re-evaluate your rules Nintendo
Nintendo doesn't want you posting your friend code on MiiVerse. You can send someone your code using the message system after you have followed or friend them. Don't post it for everyone to see.
I actually broke that rule and I'm really, really sorry. I didn't remember that rule at the time. I won't repeat that again for the sake of fun in Miiverse :)

To those that want a reason why you can't exchange friend codes here is because the exchanging of codes with strangers is wrong.People will meet strangers that will ask for anything.
This is ridiculous. Stop taking features away (private messages, friend requests) from us and stop with these stupid restrictive rules. One guy in Japan does something wrong and we all suffer.
im not complaining but you shouldn't make the friend codes restricted...at least let us comment to each other asking for them i thought nintedo wanted to connect the world with the 3ds system?
Obviously, the optimal response by the miiverse community needs to be mass-reporting of every FC post. See one, report it! Overwhelm the mods with hundreds of violation reports for every FC posted.
