Still trying to trap that bear-like creature in lvl 2 ques and have had no luck. I've tried 7 times so far. Is that particular quest supposed to be that difficult? Any help is appreciated.

    Let him limp off into area 6 where if you wait in 5 outside heal up sharpen your weapon he will go sleep. get on your trap and run up beside him place the trap and then hit him with 2 tranq bombs.

    you may also want to use a slightly less powerful weapon. his limp also not as noticeable as other monsters. Anyway good luck and don't forget it is a capture which I have done at times. LOL

    it looks like a giant honey badger to me... have it limp away, go to it, set up the ez shocktrap, throw tranq bombs at it as it's being shocked, SUCCESS!!!

    I like the Trap Guru skill that you get w/ 10pts. in Perception. After you paintball the monster, it'll flash yellow on the map when it's ready to be trapped. Often this happens before it's limping.

    Quick update...tried this 10 times tonight and still can't trap it. I either kill it or can't hit it with tranq bomb. This is becoming a game of frustration. Maybe I'll try again in a couple weeks.

    I get the frustration and aurozos's lumbering gait makes it hard to know when he is limping. shift to your tranqs as soon as your character starts setting the trap. then when you stand hit y twice.

    The closer you are to the monster the easier it is to hit. Also abandon if you miss...this way you get all your resources like potions back and can try again.

    Thanks Bubba. I made a couple of pit traps and those seem to hold him longer. However, the bombs I throw seem ineffective. But I am getting the hang of the traps. I'll also try to get the armor.
