Guys, the top half of my top screen of my 3ds is black and it has a blue line across and a green line across. Everything else is blurry. I can't play monster hunter like this. Anyone know how to fix?

  • Wow, that sounds like a hardware problem, man... Are any other games doing that?

  • it does it at the main menu, so it's not game related. I just don't understand how this happened? i haven't dropped it or hit it on anything. It's been perfectly safe and comfortable.

  • There's no noticeable external problem. no scratches or anything. Like i said, i keep this in good condition and i freak out when anyone under the age of 10 touches it. So it's gotta be internal :/

  • bottom screen is fine, if that makes a difference or not

  • It sounds like either the top screen got fried somehow (maybe a heavy magnet touched it?) or the contacts in the hinge aren't connecting right (always a risk). Try wiggling the hinge a bit...

  • While I hope the problem fixes itself, you may want to look into whether Nintendo can repair it for you... So, I'd suggest checking out their website, and seeing if your 3DS is still under warranty.

  • If it does stop working entirely you should think a buying a new one. Same thing happened to me two years ago with my DS buy fixing it cost more than the system
