    He is weakest to lightning, then fire. Use a frog to fish him out initially, as he is much easier on land. The flash of his lantern can stun you, but it can be blocked or dodged through.

    Be careful around the tail since it can paralyze you. Other than, just try to learn his moveset and go for the openings. Might need to upgrade weapons and armor.

    Fish him out with a frog. He usually starts in area 4, so as long as you don't dive in the water and be discovered, he can be fished out for a preemptive strike!

    Bring a shock trap with you. When he gets caught in one his lantern hangs down where it's easy to hit while on land.
