    You have to get the Felyne Explorer skill when you eat before the quest.

    You must do a G-rank quest. Eat for felyne explorer. Do a Sandy Plains or Deserted Isle quest and gather in the secret area. Do not pick a harvest tour because you will always start at base camp.
