Been watching some ME3 stuff and I'm confused. In other platforms, are those Spectre Packs, etc. actually micro-transactions? That would be pretty much be tantamount to greed!

LOL. That would be a funny metaphorical middle finger. If I recall correctly, EA is now hiding behind the excuse of: "Based on the data on our Wii U games, Wii U owners do not do online multiplayer."

@Ed-Man, Hell yeah! That's exactly it. I wonder if it would've been cool if the porting team included ME2 DLCs (Arrival/Lair of the Shadow Broker) and Suicide Mission into ME3 Special Edition.

I take it it would've been too much since ME2's engine isn't exactly ME3 either. Wishful thinking on my part.

That's one heck of a stupid excuse lol. That's ok tho. I never liked their sports games. Its not for me. Meh

Stupefying indeed considering what we all have been doing here! It looks like they took the launch window data and ran with it. Sometimes, I wish Reggie would rip them up publicly.

The beauty of that idea is that the game is on the eShop. So EA wouldn't be able to ride on the hopes that supply would eventuallly run out. Though it would be an expensive Middle Finger.

I actually got to play me2 on new years eve. The powers action and power upgrades are done much different than me3

@Ed-Man, ME2 is very different indeed! Finished that one and loved it! @Andrew, expensive middle finger and I think EA would still be laughing in the bank somehow.

Here's Peter Moore explaining the online bit: "For EA, at least, it's the system's lack of a rich multiplayer environment that's one of the big concerns - especially for sports titles."

"The lack of online engagement that we see on Wii U is troubling. It's so integral to what we do. They're so small it's hardly worth running the servers."

"It seems like a box that's out of sync with the future of EA - which is one that gives a real social feel to our games. The Wii U feels like an offline experience right now."

D'oh let them say whatever they want. I see plenty of online multiplayable games right now

Damn right! Online multiplayer on ME3 is alive and kicking! I just had to look up Peter Moore's comments to make sure I wasn't misremembering and not being the Negative Nancy here.

If a small online population is really the issue, why not just merge the Wii U servers with their PC servers? Net code shouldn't be platform specific, and they already have us using Origin accounts.

It is likely that there are Nintendo net-specific code going on here. After all, there is a correlation between the Miiverse friend list and ME3's friend list.

While that is possible, the idea isn't unheard of. It's essentially what Square Enix did with Final Fantasy XI on the 360. Phantasy Star Universe also had linked Servers between the PC and PS2.

Also true. There are quite a few who do linked servers, but we all know EA treats us like second class citizens.
