Did you know? That outside Ganondorf's Castle you can see the leftover helmets of the guards from Hyrule? I think that shows us they try to fight to protect but died in return. D:

    I don't think so. This soldier dies after speaking. Next time you play through that part, go through the alley before the Temple of Time and check him out. I posted a screen of him a few days ago ...

    I think the Poe keeper is actually the same soldier who was there when you were a child judging by his dialogue then. Just theories of course, but fun to think about.
