    monster hunter has never been an immediately accessible series. the correct way to play mh runs contrary to nearly every other game out there. it requires you to be very deliberate and very precise.

    Yeah, I know. I played and loved FHU for the PSP. The problem with this MH is that the controls are plain poop. You can't even claw, and the only way to get passable controls is to buy the CPP. nah m8

    mh requires requires lots of investment before it "clicks" and pays off. if you're not up for that, zone of the enders is pretty bomb, too

    Monster Hunter is a bit like Vindictus... You go in kill something huge, and hope you get the drops you want. Difference between them, One is less punishment for mistakes than the other.

    Saw comment above, if controls are the issue, under where you customize the touch screen you can set up a virtual analog stick that controls the camera. Otherwise you could alwats geta Circle pad pro.
