Seriously addicted to this game! But why does it seem like kayamba is worse than cha-cha? They're the same age.. not to mention that he talks a little more adult like. "Young people have no respect."

    "He says that when wearing the Ancient Mask. Their lines and personalities change depending on their masks. Each mask has different attack and defense stats as well.

    The masks also level up over time. If Cha Cha is wearing a Lvl 5 Acorn Mask, and Kayamba is wearing a Lvl 0 Ancient Mask, then yes ... Cha Cha will be much stronger.

    They are about two levels apart. Cha wearing grill mask and Kay wearing ancient. And kay took a fire blast to the face ouch

    The more you use a mask the stronger it gets ... but they need to learn them individually. Even if Cha Cha is Lvl 4 on the Ancient Mask, if Kayamba has never used it, it will still be Lvl 0 for him.

    Look at each ones stats. Their attack and Defense are not equal, and change even more depending on the mask. Different masks also bring different behavior. Some are more suicidal than others.

    Grill mask makes them stay back and attack from far away, which generally means they stay alive longer. Ancient mask is more blunt, melee attacks. Makes them bold to a fault, getting them killed.

    Ancient Mask is not the best if you don't need the oxygen ability. Chose a mask for abilities useful for the hunt. Basic Acorn/Pincer masks are well balanced and good to max out.

    I highly recommend the Speedy Recovery ability. I always have it active on both. Keeps them coming back when they fall a lot.

    That on both plus Ooga Booga + Wakka Wakka on both also means they are healing you CONSTANTLY. They've spoiled me rotten, honestly. Sometimes I barely need Mega Potions.

    one other thing: if you want your shakalakas to live, don't use false felyne or mock melynx masks...they don't heal if i recall correctly.
