    No because you can only send invites from the lobby. They'd have to leave the match to send it

    It doesn't always seem to let you join with the method Ness mentioned (unless I was having technical difficulties), it may be based on what Wave number they are on for some reason?

    I've used Ness's method a few times. Sometimes, it does let me join, but there are other times where it doesn't.
