    Banjo-Kazooie had this in a way, where music in each area seamlessly transitioned depending on where you were. Over on TvTropes, we call this a "Variable Mix".

    TvTropes in general just makes up names for stuff that doesn't have one, which either gives us convenient shorthands for plot devices or makes us unable to engage in everyday conversations.

    The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD did something like this; you hear an orchestra hit when you attack an enemy, and Phantom Ganon's theme changes when he throws an energy ball at you.
