    The only reason not to use a shock trap is if he's all charged up, cause it will blow up, or if you're trying to keep him in place. It does help cap him though, some people just don't know that.

    i was trying to cap the thing, and i laid down a shock trap, then i saw the thing , while it was still in it, eating the shock trap

    If he's mad/enraged(all spiky), he'll absorb the trap. If not he'll get stuck normally.

    he was regular, not spikey but for some reason, the shock trap electricity was turning blue, then instead of having a standing seizure,he bent his head down and ate it

    @Terry and Tim A noncharged Zinogre will be charged up one level by a shock trap, while a fully charged zinogre will not be affected at all and the shock trap will break.

    When going for a capture on Zinogre, its best to use a pitfall trap, as its unaffected and you won't have to worry about him getting charged up before he goes in it.

    I think he charges up 2 stages, but still. If you have no pitfalls it's still a viable option if you KNOW he's capturable.
