I beat Ghosts and Goblins twice to get the actual ending. I got nothing except a Congraturations from the game! I love this game!

    Eh, I actually don't think it's as hard as people say. I could get used to the controls and the Red Devil isn't that hard to beat. I'm not saying it was easy, but not "impossible" as people say.

    You're a better man than me, dude. I played the heck out of this game as a kid for hours at a time, but could never even get to the final boss without the stage select cheat.

    Hey, I didn't cheat, it just wasn't that hard for me. Honestly, the controls were easy to get used to, and the Red Devil isn't that hard either...

    Props to you for NOT cheating! When you cheat, it never counts. Taking shortcuts is ok though. But actual cheats or cheat codes, it doesn't count at all.

    (I used to cheat all the time with the codes and such to beat my games. I don't really do that anymore.) Soooo much more satisfaction when you put your time and effort into a game and beat it.
