    This is like an unlimited demo, though. I don't think Nintendo can (& they hopefully never will) leak & sell 3DS user data/activity like "free" mobile apps can on phones & tablets.

    That leaking of data/activity is how many mobile apps make revenue. Nintendo needs more direct methods to charge users. Personally, I prefer to directly buy than to have my data/activity leaked.

    Nintendo's idea of a f2p game is a free demo with a purchase required for the full game. I personally think it's a great take on the whole concept. Better than having a cash shop, really.
