Lol, I think I need to elaborate on the reference thing. In the beginning I'll fully admit to using online pixel database resources and references. How else was I supposed to learn to draw pixel art?

Everyone has to start somewhere. But through a TON of practice (and you can see all the pieces I've made to prove my practicing) I got better and better. Now, I can turn unpixelated things into pixel

I mostly just used google in the beginning. If you want to practice Kirby just search Kirby pixel art. The only way to learn is if you try.

Lol, the shading and grayscale is the most time-consuming part for me. It takes me longer than the actual pixel drawing process. Like I've explained to people before, I do all my art on here by hand

using the Wii U stylus. I don't use grids or hook the gamepad up and use programs... it's all self-taught, hand-made art. I taught myself how to do everything on here and I've worked my butt off to do
