  • also, why can't one simply change the boards/ pieces mid game?

  • You can adjust the screen size under options, and you can resign/forfeit in the play-by-mail games. You can see the option in the image attached.

  • mayb in by mail games, but not local multi player. u can only offer a draw. plus even resizing the screen doesn't brighten the gamepad to actually see the pieces! it is way too dark intentionally.

  • there is no excuse other than pure laziness, why the board on the tv screen can't simply be flipped with a button press. rediculous

  • Do you have the Wii U GamePad brightness all the way up? I have mine at 4 out of 5, and don't have problems with it.

  • yep all the way to 5 & with very clear screen. it's simply too small for 3d pieces, too dark, & no reason why the board on tv shouldn't b able to flip with a button press. this game is half baked.

  • even though some sets/ environments r too dark on the gamepad, some are fine. u gotta try the different combinations to find the ones that look good on the gamepad when playing local multiplayer.

  • Ah, haven't tried local yet. I did discover that changing the chess set in a local game options though will change it in all your other current games you have going.
