Well, the "true" ending comes from just following Airy around for the entire story, but you can get a different ending by intentionally breaking a crystal instead of awakening it.

I haven't actually seen either of them, and probably the one I mentioned first. I think it rewinds time to before you got either ending afterwards, so you could get both if you wanted.

I would recommend getting the false ending first at around chapter 7 or 8. Then when you beat it the game sends you back to before you broke the crystal and continue to get the true ending

I think the true ending is better so I recommend the false ending first, plus all the exp and jp you gain from the false ending will help you in the true final chapter which I found way harder

Let me get things straight;breaking a crystal leads you to the false ending,and, upon completion, brings you to before you broke it with the Exp and Jp you earned so you can get the true ending.Right?

yep. you save the game and all items, exp, pg, jp, is returned with you. plus you get the vestal garb from the false ending
