Alternis wears his armour almost all of the time. D's Journal notes that he's unused to walking around without it on. Edea probably hasn't seen Alternis' uncovered face in years, if ever.

In D's Journal, it says that "Ringabel" always kept his hemlet on, and he felt "naked" without it. But it's hard to believe that he kept it on when it mentioned sleeping, drinking, etc.
