    but it's the same thing as when you chose to make all organic life part synthetic with the crucible except that the next cycle has the technology to do it without the crucible why wouldn't it work?

    The catalyst tried making organic/synthetic races and it didn't work. The reapers would just kill or harvest the galaxy no matter what races existed in it because thats what they do.
