Week 5 of turnip trading is already a HUGE success! I bought 15K turnips at 105 each, and my friend's Re-Tail bought them for 539 each! I just received 8,085,000 Bells! (6,510,000 in actual profits!)

  • How DOES one get turnips, anyway? I've only just started thinking of dealing with them since beetles aren't quite cutting it anymore. Probably asking a silly question, but it IS 2am...

  • To get turnips, play the game on Sunday between 6AM and 12PM and look for a special visitor named Joan. She'll sell you turnips in bunches of 10. (Up to 100 allowed in a single stack.) [Continued]

  • Her price per turnip ranges between 90 and 110 Bells, and she'll sell you as many as you want. As for selling them, go to Re-Tail on any day except Sunday. Reese will have two turnip prices per day...

  • ...one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Be sure to sell before the following Sunday, and never time travel, or else all turnips will spoil and your investment will be wasted.

  • Those are the basics, but if you google "new leaf stalk market wizard", the 1st 2 results (kurtboyer & thonky) will give more info on price patterns, and can help you know when to hold & when to sell.

  • Oh, and don't worry about it being a silly question. It is a little complicated, so asking for help on a subject like this is no big deal! :)

  • Whoops, I forgot one other source. Google "new leaf liquefy". The first result should be a VERY long FAQ covering nearly all of New Leaf. Scrolling down to the Stalk Market section can be a big help.

  • Thanks! Only needed to know where to get them since I've been aware of the whole price changing stuff for a while. My priorities aren't as straight as they should be.
