After beating the game, you'll unlock a room in Story Mode that allows you to choose from any Copy Ability at any time. There is also a metal Waddle Dee you can fight there. (More in comments)

You can even choose the Crash and Mike abilities. If you pick a Copy Ability and exit this room, you can keep that Copy Ability to use on any level you choose in Story Mode.
