  • I've kept up with Kirby and most of his games since the first one, and here we are now!

  • This game uses the same engine as Return to Dreamland, but with the addition of traveling to the background, the game is 2.5D!

  • While it retains a lot of the features from previous installments, it introduces four new abilities, and the overpowered Hypernova ability!

  • Hypernova is used a lot during the game, and truly brings out the potential in Kirby's powers. The times and uses made from it are very appropriate as well.

  • King Dedede is given a lot of representation, and even gets his own minigame, Dedede's Drum Dash, and his own adventure where he's playable, Dedede Tour!

  • There's also another mode called Kirby Fighters, where you can use classic abilities to fight other Kirbys with their own ability, in a similar format to Smash Bros. This mode includes Local Multiplay

  • My only negative tidbit would be how some of the features included in previous installments were unnecessarily removed, such as the Water and Tornado abilities.

  • As for the storyline, it was simply fantastic, especially near the end! Not only did it break the chain of Kirby-sized villain tricking him and then becoming powerful, but, it featured a new character

  • The other thing I didn't really get was how Meta Knight, a staple character, had virtually no appearance in the game! I guess it's to make up for King Dedede's absence in Squeak Squad.

  • But overall, the game was stunningly amazing, and I throughly enjoyed almost every part of it. So my finally rating of the game is...
