    You will as your skill goes up, and luck favors you. I only go past 10 when I sink all 4 ships at least 5 matches, because I get paired with teammates who don't actually play or don't know how.

    that's just it. I'm decent enough,but luck doesn't favor me. it's not even indifferent. it just hates me. I'll sometimes get matched with a decent team, but that's VERY rare...

    All I can say is you'll have to get skilled enough to take out 4 mediocre players, and perhaps 1-2 good players. Only then will you be making your own luck sometimes.
