In-Game Daily News: Batarian Refugees Blame Unknown Attackers

Batarian colonies across Hegemony space have begun evacuations. So many refugees have poured into the human-occupied Exodus Cluster that Systems Alliance officials at first thought the batarians were invading. Further investigation revealed the majority of these ships were simple transports filled with batarian families.

Mixed amongst the fleeing refugees however are government figures from the batarian homeworld of Khar'shan. The information minister of the Hegemony's Department of Information Control continues to blame the loss of signal from the communication buoys on space weather. None-the-less, the information minister has scrambled ships to batarian systems.

However, contradictory reports of unknown ships destroying all traffic near Khar'shan are coming in from the batarian refugees, saying, "Attackers devastated our planets. Not Alliance. Not Council."
