i have noticed fewer and fewer people playing, and almost noone capable of doing gold consistently. this shouldn't be after so long so this post is to help with an easy way to do gold...it is easy once you get the hang of it, but its boring as well. but id rather you guys make some more $ and get experience so we have more gold players...notes in comments, very clear spoiler alert for MP players

Great post, will definitely try this out. Just wondering (but you probably have an obvious answer: shields?) , what makes this build great against Geth only if it is this powerful? And if you have a second place best build, what would it be?

Well canuse if I need to take a rest from racing in mario kart 8. I'll get back into the fight in mass effect and do my best to help you and anyone else who needs help. and here's a piece of advice to those who may also read this, A regular human soldier can do very well in a gold match if you know how to use one. adrenaline rush is more far more useful than concussive shot.

you can restore a quarter of your shield's should they go down and reload your weapons automatically. So give the human soldier's a try. I recommend using a m96 mattock semiautomatic rifle and a phalanx or the talon shotgun pistol. just do your best and work as as team. Thats all I have to say good luck.

@onslaught, this build is amazing against any enemy, the point of the post is to give players a surefire way to beat gold every time though. That's why shields instead of melee, and, in my experience, melee builds with him can't tank multiple primes at once with a cyclonic 1, not to mention the matches take longer. If you play against a non-geth enemy you can get insta killed, but like i said...

I have soloed platinum with this build multiple times so I guarantee it's a great build :-) if you don't want to play against geth, cerberus is also easy with him since he can hunt phantoms very effectively. Reapers takes much longer since he has to kite banshees (since you can only biotic charge them safely when they are not moving).

@megan turian soldier is good as well, although I prefer proximity mine since it gives such a massive debuff...that extra 25% damage for 8 seconds makes a HUGE difference against bosses and sub bosses. If you know how to reload cancel, he is also great for sniping (love him with this kishock rifle)

@scott you of all people know how good the human soldier is, and we have both done more than a few platinums using him

Great advice canyuse... You solo'd with the vorcha yet? Never gets a mention in advice posts, but he's my most destructive character.

@picola i only got to wave 5 with him but i could have made it farther if i hadn't gotten trapped on wave 2 by double guardians and a phantom (always forget that combo is so deadly). still trying to get the hang of no shields, i actually started playing with only 4 ranks in fitness since he really can only take one hit in platinum even with rank 6 shields. my hurricane is only level 6 on xbox

so I might do a bit better when it's ranked all the way. although, I did do the krogan solo again on the xbox with the level 6 hurricane, and beat my time on the wii by close to 20 minutes. The other issue is consumables...i have tons on wii, but only about 20 each of level 4 stuff on xbox so I tend to be more conservative there.

the last issue for me is that I don't have the wii set up in my office anymore, so I am usually playing on the gamepad, which makes soloing way more difficult for me anyway.

I'd like to point out that Firebase Giant seems to be a popular map to do Gold runs. It has a nice flowing layout and provides lots of cover when the boss type enemies come.

giant is definitely the easiest map, it's where we practiced platinums until we were good enough to do random/random way back when i first got the game. The next easiest combo besides the kroguard one here is to take 4 vorcha on giant against reaper gold. Burn everything and have fun doing it ;) unlike the krogaurd build, burning stuff never seems to get old for me

I may have to try out the Vorcha Soldier again. I struggled in my early tests as he felt a little spongy and fragile

vorcha shields are ridiculously low, but with all health upgrades in bloodlust he can take some abuse. it makes soloing take longer because as soon as you hear your shields break you need to be running for cover. the other thing about him is his dodge is ridiculously good, you can survive a lot of situations just by dodging until your health regenerates. about to try platinum solo with him now.

Good luck with that Solo! I FINALLY got the class I want, the N7 Demolisher. And in that SAME pack I got a Scorpion upgrade AND Pistol Lightweight Materials. Already got a great build on her!

Hey, I have been busy with my work of late, plus add in MK8 came out recently...BUT that don't mean I'm abandoning ME3 MP, just can't play it all the time. I agree with ya though, hard to find gamers ready for Gold/Platinum on the reg!
