After speaking to friends it looks like Nintendo didn't do enough at E3 to persuade them to buy Wii U's. Their impression... too kiddy! I can see their point. Bayonetta 1 didn't sell very well and that's about it for mature games.

  • They're aren't insecure. We all grew up on Nintendo games but like our choice in food, movies and music, our tastes change. Kirby and Yoshi have be cutified and look very simple to play. Remember I'm not speaking for everyone, just my friends and to be honest, me now.

  • Sounds like they are more persuaded by trailers that doesn't represent the final build, where the game pretty much underperform compared to the trailers (but not always).

  • Like you say that's not always the case.

  • Apparently the producer of yarn yoshi said the game is not intended for a young audience and its pretty challenging. Those were his words and you do die unlike kirbys epic yarn. Nintendo did show off better ideas overall imo

  • I noticed a trend with people and was mentioned already that people like cg trailers over actual gameplay. Sony and microsoft got to stop doing this, however they showed bits and pieces of ori and entwined footage. Us as consumers need to see how these games play, their video games after all not movies

  • Xenoblade, Beyonetta 1 & 2, Devil's Third, Zelda Wii U, Hyrule Warriors, that's 6 games there that aren't kiddy games.

  • I get what people are saying about CGI trailers but you can pretty much guarantee that Uncharted 4, Witcher 3, Halo 5, Bloodborn etc are going to be good.
