    they will grow up. 1st day/day they are born in crib/carrier, 2nd day out of crib, 3rd day standing, 4th day walking, not sure about after yet. I think it takes about a week but i can't be certain yet....

    They do grow up. After they do, you choose to either send them into the world where they will travel to other islands via the 3DS streetpass/spotpass feature or move them into the apartment. Note: Once choose, the option can not be undone unless you haven't saved the game after sending the kid on trip/moving them into an apartment.
