Capcom's IPs would be a good acquisition for Nintendo as there is plenty of variety, however everyone acts like 1. It is going to happen overnight. 2. Assuming Nintendo as a company is even interested. Would it be a missed opportunity? OF COURSE. I'm not holding my breath though. You shouldn't either. You tried with Atlus and SEGA STILL does what Nintendon't.

    Buying IP's would be better than the whole company, but for that to happen they tend to go the THQ way and get carved up. As a company, Capcom would fit in much better under Sony's umbrella than Nintendo's.

    Well, their games like Resi, Street Fighter and Devil May Cry are a better fit for a PlayStation audience, not to mention the dormant IPs like Dino Crisis that Sony would probably resurrect. They have been a strong supporter of Sony since the beginning, but Phoenix Wright and Mega Man for example would fit better on Nintendo. I think if it came to it Sony would get there instead of Nintendo.

    Playstation gamers are essentially the same as Nintendo gamers. Your argument isn't helped by the fact that all those series have been present on a Nintendo platform at one point. Not to mention these games were most notable whilst on Nintendo's platform. I am not sure where this stigma came from that some games 'audience' is on Playstation.

    Take the Tales of series. If I recall correctly, wasn't Symphonia the most successful game in the franchise? Yet Square claims the audience is on Playstation. They primarily released these games on Sony's platform from the start, but the one on Gamecube broke the series into new ground.

    I would even feel good if Sega buys Capcom. But we would be doomed to suffer their localization policies.
